Grants for Research

We are honored to present two world class facilities, The Cleveland Clinic Children's Fund and the Mt. Sinai Pediatric IBD Fund, with donations:

Both Larry and Noah are extremely thankful for the support of their medical care teams over the years, as they are both now in remission!

AVC is excited for the opportunity to give back to thier treatment centers, as well as the IBD community, and inspire more young people batting Crohn’s and Colitis to continue to pursue their goals despite living with a chronic illness!

CLEVELAND CLINIC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL FUND

We hosted a special reunion gathering at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland. We were fortunate to be able to present with two past scholarship winners a check for $15,000 to Dr. Sandra Kim, a nationally recognized expert in pediatric and adolescent inflammatory bowel disease, and the Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition; and to Dr Jacob Kurowski, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Medical Director of Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, and Assistant Director of the Infusion Center at Cleveland Clinic Children’s.

We hosted AVC fans for a pregame event in the exclusive Terrace Club at Progressive Field, then hoops, at the Quicken Loans Arena. Before the game, Larry, Noah and Kaare Weber took to center court to present Dr. Robert Wyllie, Chief of Medical Operations at the Cleveland Clinic, Larry’s doctor and a known leader in the world of pediatric gastroentorology, $25,000 to be used for much needed IBD research and improving the patient experience at the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital.

Mt. Sinai HOSPITAL Pediatric IBD Fund

We hosted 200 AVC fans for a great night of food, hoops, and networking at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Before the game, Noah and Kaare Weber took to center court to present Dr. Marla Dubinsky of Mt. Sinai Clinical IBD Center with a check for $25,000 to be used for much needed Crohn’s and Colitis research. To top it off, Larry and the Cavs walked away with a victory!
