The AVC annual Scholarship is given to a high school athlete attending college full-time who is undergoing treatment in the Cleveland or NYC area. Applicants need to demonstrate qualities that show luck is largely a byproduct of persistence, hard work, and a positive attitude in tough or unfamiliar situations.
The mission of AVC is to raise awareness of Crohn’s and colitis in the adolescent population and help
children realize their athletic potential despite being diagnosed with a chronic illness.
